You can already tell that the Newcastle United squad are going to love playing with Yoane Wissa.
After three substitute appearances, Yoane Wissa finally got the chance to show everyone what he was capable of after being given his first start.
It did not take him long either, with Wissa scoring his first goal for the club within 10 minutes of Newcastle United’s win over Fulham.
One goal behind already 👀 Who will score more this season, Wissa or Isak?
The 29-year-old was always looking to make chances for himself, while you could see Jacob Murphy relishing the opportunity to play with a striker who wants to operate on the shoulder of the last man.
While the Newcastle players did not always find Wissa, there was a clear shift in their attacking approach which should mean that exciting times lie ahead.
Yoane Wissa is excited to play with Nick Woltemade at Newcastle United
There will be even more excitement when Wissa gets to play alongside Nick Woltemade.
That did not happen on Wednesday night, but the Magpies’ number nine has admitted that they are relishing the prospect of playing together.

“I think the manager has the best job,” Wissa told the Football Daily podcast when asked about playing alongside Woltemade.
“He’s got so many good players. So of course he can enjoy that.
“But for sure, Nick and me, we’re talking about playing together, for sure, because Nick is a talented player.
“So playing around him will be fantastic for me and for him, because he can release me.
“We’re looking forward to playing together.”

Why Newcastle United fans might not see Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade together for a while
The prospect of Woltemade creating chances for Wissa is tantalising, but it is a reality that Newcastle United fans might have to wait a while to see.
For now, it feels likely that Eddie Howe will rotate his two strikers. After all, Woltemade has been struggling with fatigue and Wissa is still building up his fitness. Combine that with Newcastle’s busy schedule and it is difficult to envisage Howe deploying his only forwards together.
There was another striker in reserve against Fulham, with Sean Neave named on the bench. The 18-year-old has a lot of potential, but is yet to make his senior debut for the club.
Elsewhere in attack, Will Osula remains injured due to an ankle problem.
