Sandro Tonali’s name has again emerged in the Italian media as they dream of a return from Newcastle United.
After a sticky start to his career at Newcastle United, midfielder Tonali has emerged into one of the best in his position in European football.
Along with Tino Livramento, Tonali is surely Newcastle’s most prized asset following the summer departure of Alexander Isak.

However, Tonali has frequently been linked with a move to Juventus. The Italian media appear to love the idea of him returning to Serie A.
Now, more strange claims have emerged.
Italian media say Juventus could look to sign Sandro Tonali on loan
Indeed, Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that playing for Juventus would appeal to Tonali.
The 25-year-old is famously an AC Milan fan but they claim the Old Lady do have a place in the player’s heart.
The report goes on to claim that Newcastle will only sell Tonali if he explicitly requests a move before a significant offer is made.
Even then, Juve may not be able to afford the deal. It’s said that they could even attempt an audacious loan move, including an obligation to buy.
Finally, they claim that striker Jonathan David could even be offered in part-exchange.

Sandro Tonali could leave Newcastle United next summer – but it won’t be on loan
Tonali’s long-term future at Newcastle is in doubt after he claimed earlier this season that no one can predict the future.
Frankly, that is refreshingly honest. If Newcastle don’t finish in the Champions League spots this season, he could hardly be blamed for wanting to leave.
To be up front about not knowing what the future can hold is much better than what Isak did earlier this summer.
Either way, Newcastle are in a strong position over Tonali. He is effectively under contract until 2030 and it’s impossible to imagine they’d ever agree to a loan deal, even if there is an obligation to buy.
If Newcastle are going to sell Tonali, it’s going to be on their own terms.
