Newcastle United should have had the chance to double their lead, as Malick Thiaw denied a clear penalty when Reece James dragged him down from behind as a corner came in.
Somehow the on the pitch referee and the VAR both decided it wasn’t a spot-kick. You just know for sure they would both have gave it at the other end.
