A new study has looked at the net transfer spend of Premier League clubs.

The period covers is from the start of the 2023-24 season.

The study carried out by The Athletic.

Identifying the Premier League clubs with the highest AND lowest net spends ‘over the last three seasons.’

The report covers only those clubs that have played in all of the last three seasons.

Some very interesting facts come out of this.

The Premier League clubs that can AND have has the biggest net spends, a huge advantage over the rest.

No prizes for guessing the six Premier League clubs at the very top when it comes to highest net spend, only made the order they come in is the only surprise.

This just shows how difficult it is for those clubs outside of the self-appointed elite half dozen, such as Aston Villa and Newcastle United, to try and compete.

On top of the above, the same half dozen also with easily the highest wage bills as well.
