There are now 20 clubs remaining in the Champions League.
That will be reduced to the final 16 tonight (Tuesday 25 February 2026).
The top eight in the Swiss League automatically qualified for the final 16.
Then the other eight to come from the sixteen contesting the play-off round.
Atletico Madrid, Bodo/Glimt, Newcastle United and Bayer Leverkusen all progressed last night via their play-off ties.
The other four will be decided tonight.

Champions League play-off matches tonight (Wednesday) to decide the final four clubs in the last 16 (scores from the first leg games in brackets):

The UEFA Champions League round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals draws, will be held on Friday 27 February 2026.
The draw(s) will be held at the UEFA House of Football in Nyon at 11am (UK time) this Friday.
Newcastle United can only be drawn in the last 16 round of matches against either Barcelona or Chelsea.
