A new front-of-shirt sponsor has been unveiled by Newcastle United.
An official club announcement on Tuesday revealing the huge news.
The club statement: ‘Newcastle United is thrilled to announce a huge expansion of its partnership with Knox Hydrate, locking in the world’s fastest-growing hydration brand as the club’s Official Front-of-Shirt Partner in a three-year deal.’
There had been media claims that this was going to happen but a relief to see that it has indeed become reality.
Newcastle United needing as much cash as possible from the various revenue streams, to enable United to compete on and off the pitch.
The club going on to say: “In a move that underscores the incredible momentum and global appeal of the club, Knox Hydrate branding will proudly feature on the front of all matchday shirts for the Men’s first team, Newcastle United Women, and the Academy teams from the start of the 2026-27 season. The agreement marks a new milestone for both organisations, following the landmark announcement that Knox Hydrate has become the club’s first-ever training ground naming rights partner, with Darsley Park officially becoming ‘The Knox’ from July 1.”
No figures mentioned by the club but The Athletic had reported that their information was that it would be worth up to £60m over three years.
With years two and three worth up to £25m each, this first (2026/27) season only worth around £10m.
This is due to Knox Hydrate having missed out on the launch of the new 2026/27 home shirt.
Speaking of which, the club adding: “Supporters who have purchased the 2026/27 home shirt will be given an opportunity to get the Knox Hydrate logo applied. Home shirts with the Knox logo will also be retailed later in the season, whist upcoming away and third shirts will include the Knox logo. Further details will follow in due course.”
