The Premier League have laid out the schedule of when announcements will be made, informing fans of games getting moved for live TV broadcast for the 2026/27 season.
On Friday 19 June 2026 the 2026/27 Premier League fixtures were released.
On that same day the Premier League released details of which matches were to be moved on the opening weekend of the season for live TV broadcast.
The Newcastle United home match against Liverpool was amongst the selections, moved from 3pm on Saturday 22 August to 4,30pm on Sunday 23 August.
What about the rest of the season though?
This is what the Premier League have said:
‘Fixtures are amended throughout the season for several reasons, including live TV broadcast selections and to accommodate domestic and European cup competitions. For this reason, Premier League fixtures are always advertised as being subject to change. The Premier League will have nine of its clubs participating in UEFA competitions again this season and while this is a mark of success for the League and its clubs, supporters should be aware of the knock-on effect this will have on the scheduling of Premier League fixtures. We will endeavour to announce fixtures with as much notice as possible, but as we saw last season, there may be changes made at shorter notice than desired if our teams progress into the latter stages of other competitions.’
The Premier League then giving fans this schedule for when they plan to make the announcements on matches moved:

August and September 2026 matches – Week commencing Monday 13 July 2026
October 2026 matches – Week commencing Monday 24 August 2026
November 2026 matches – Week commencing Monday 21 September 2026
December 2026 matches – Week commencing Monday 19 October 2026
January 2027 matches – Week commencing Monday 30 November 2026
February 2027 matches – Week commencing Monday 21 December 2026
March 2027 matches – Week commencing Monday 18 January 2027
April 2027 matches – Week commencing Monday 22 February 2027
Match Week 35 games – Week commencing Monday 29 March 2027
Match Week 36 games – Week commencing Monday 5 April 2027
Match Week 37 games – Week commencing Monday 26 April 2027
