Louis Saha has been talking about Anthony Gordon.
Saha was back in the day a Newcastle United player when on loan in the second half of the 1998/99 season.
However, he clearly is a full-on Manchester United fan having played at Old Trafford for a number of years, 2004-2008.
Louis Saha now fantasising about Anthony Gordon moving on to Manchester United.
Anthony Gordon currently on 17 goals for the season with Newcastle United and an England regular, set to play against Japan on Tuesday night as Thomas Tuchel prepares for the 2026 World Cup finals.
Louis Saha commenting to Ozoon: “Anthony Gordon is still a young lad and he has to consider his future on a base of stability and repay the trust that he’s got from his manager. His tournament at the World Cup may change and speed up a little bit. I would love to see a bit more consistency from him, but I would love to see Anthony Gordon at Manchester United as well because he’s definitely a big asset. I’d like to see him play at the highest level for two seasons, then join a club like Man U and have a big impact.”
Louis Saha has said similar things in the past about other Newcastle United players.
Saha believing that Man U can come and take United’s best players when they choose.
This includes bizarrely, 13 months ago Louis Saha believing that Alexander Isak (note how he says “we” when referring to Man U) was going to end up at Manchester United in summer 2025, with Isak supposedly going to help the development of Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund…: “Alexander Isak…it’s been two or three years that he’s playing at the top, top level now. He’s able to score his own goals and he is also capable of creating chances for his team mates, he gets a lot of assists as well. Alexander Isak is a player that can really help younger players by showing them the ropes, and this is the type of impact we need from our next striker. He has to carry the burden of responsibility but at the same time, he has to help players like Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee improve.”
