Anthony Munda has completed a move to Swindon Town.
An official club announcement on Monday revealing the news.
The club stating: ‘Newcastle United midfielder Anthony Munda has joined League Two club Swindon Town on loan for the 2026/27 season.’
Good luck to the 19-year-old NUFC player who has also represented England at under-18 level.
The Newcastle United official statement going on to say: ‘Anthony joined United’s Academy in 2012 aged nine and has featured regularly for the club’s Under-21 side in recent years. While progressing through the youth ranks at the Magpies, he made his FA Youth Cup debut aged 15, featuring in the third round tie against Charlton Athletic in December 2022.’
The young midfielder is the fifth Newcastle United player to go out on loan so far in this transfer window.
Odysseas Vlachodimos has gone to Sevilla for a second year on loan, Harrison Ashby to Luton, Antonio Cordero back to Cadiz, whilst Alex Murphy has joined Kaiserslautern on loan.
The club statement ending: ‘Anthony Munda made his Premier League 2 bow aged 16 during an away clash against Blackburn Rovers in January 2024 before scoring on his second start at under-21 level, an impressive stoppage-time leveller against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Everybody at Newcastle United would like to wish Anthony all the best for the season ahead.’
