The question we were asking today was – As a Newcastle United fan, who do you want to win the Champions League?
For Eddie Howe and his players the interest ended at the last sixteen stage.
Newcastle United playing 12 Champions League matches in total this 2025/26 season but Barcelona eventually knocking them out.
Things are now at the semi-final stage of the top European competition.
So as Newcastle United fans, which of these four do you want to win the Champions League?
Arsenal – Are you a Newcastle United fan who likes to see all the English teams do well and would love to see Mikel Arteta lift the trophy?
Atletico Madrid – Maybe you would like to see Madrid’s other club victorious? The same as Arsenal, they have never won the Champions League (or European Cup) previously.
Bayern Munich – Would you like to see Harry Kane lift a Champions League trophy for the first time. The same for Vincent Kompany as a manager.
PSG – Could it be the French club you’d like to see retain the trophy? Newcastle United remaining the only English club that PSG can’t find a way to beat.
The Champions League final is on Saturday 30 May 2026 and the semi-finals are as follows:
PSG v Bayern (Tuesday 28 April) and Bayern v PSG (Wednesday 6 May)
Atletico v Arsenal (Wednesday 29 April) and Arsenal v Atletico (Tuesday 5 May)

So Bayern edging out Atletico and PSG a distant third BUT what were the roughly one in twelve (8%) doing, wanting Mikel Arteta and Arsenal to win it???
