Premier League clubs winning football matches this season, who have been the most successful?

Arsenal are way out at the top, an incredible 43 victories in all competitions so far.

In second place it is Manchester City, a not so shabby 38 wins.

What about the rest though?

Here are the complete stats.

The number of wins this season by each of the 20 top tier English clubs.

Some food for thought there.

Nobody is denying that 2025/26 has been a disappointing Premier League season for Newcastle United. Especially when comparing it with what Eddie Howe has inspired us to previously.

However, the way some Newcastle United fans are behaving is quite astonishing, embarrassing some might say.

The claims that this has been a nightmare, a season from hell, worst ever…it just defies belief.

The only Newcastle United fans that go on like this, are either those who have only just started supporting NUFC, or fans with some kind of an agenda.

It is pathetic, this idea that no credit should be given to Eddie Howe and Newcastle United for wins in other competitions over the likes of Aston Villa, Benfica, Qarabag, Bournemouth, USG, Tottenham, PSV, Fulham and Athletic Club. Not to mention the fact that United remain the only English club that PSG find impossible to beat, as well the reality that for five of six halves Newcastle were more than a match for Barcelona.

As the table above shows, only five Premier League clubs have won more matches this season than Newcastle United.

If winning 24 (possibly 26…) matches in a Newcastle United season is a disaster, I would hate to think how you’d describe most of the NUFC seasons I have experienced!!!
