Saturday morning has seen the club announce that another player is leaving.
An official Newcastle United statement revealing that Emil Krafth will depart, with Kieran Tripper and Matt Targett having previously confirmed their own departures.
Emil Krafth seeing his current NUFC contract end on 30 June 2026.
The official Newcastle United statement detailing: “Defender Emil Krafth will bring an end to his seven-year stay at Newcastle United following the expiry of his contract this summer.”
An excellent club servant, the Sweden international one of the good guys.
The official club release going on to say: “The Sweden international will show his appreciation to the St. James’ Park crowd during a half-time presentation at Sunday’s Premier League fixture with West Ham.”
A great squad player, Emil Krafth bought for around £4m seven years ago.
The official club statement adding: “Newcastle Emil will depart the club with 106 Magpies appearances and a Carabao Cup winners medal to his name after arriving from French side Amiens in 2019. The 31-year-old, nicknamed ‘Krafu’ for his dependable performances at right back, will be remembered fondly on Tyneside, particularly for his role in the team’s upturn in fortunes following Eddie Howe’s appointment in the 2021/22 season.”
