The first KNOX Newcastle United Player of the Month has now been revealed.
This is the award for August 2026.
During that opening month of the season Newcastle United very unlucky not to defeat Liverpool in their first game, denied by a very late penalty.
A 3-2 victory then followed over West Brom in the Carabao Cup, before then the month ended with a 2-0 win at Tottenham.
One of the stand out stars of August was Amar Dedic, starting all three games and instantly impressing Newcastle United fans. Looking good in defence and picking up three assists in the August 2026 matches.
Yoane Wissa and Anthony Elanga also made excellent starts to the season but it is Amar Dedic who picks up the August 2026 KNOX Newcastle United Player of the Month award.
The club revealing that the full-back picked up 47% of the public vote after Newcastle United fans were asked to select their top performer for August 2026.
Sadly, Matthias Jaissle made public on Thursday that both Amar Dedic and Anthony Elanga are part of an ever growing NUFC injury list, with at least eight Newcastle United players looking set to be unavailable for the Hull match tomorrow.
