Wednesday has brought news of Newcastle United agreeing a new commercial deal.
An official NUFC announcement revealing the news.
Newcastle United signing a new “multi-year” deal with LeoVegas Group, to promote their BetMGM brand.
The official club release saying: ‘Newcastle United and LeoVegas Group have signed a new multi-year deal to extend the club’s thriving commercial partnership with leading sports betting and entertainment brand, BetMGM. The renewed agreement as Newcastle United’s Official UK and European Betting Partner builds on a shared ambition to deliver money-can’t-buy experiences that place fans at the centre of the action.’
The announcement going on to state: ‘This season, BetMGM will once again bring its signature Las Vegas energy to St. James’ Park, beginning with the return of the fan-favourite BetMGM Half-Time Challenge at the upcoming fixture against Hull City, offering fans the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Las Vegas.’
Newcastle United’s Chief Revenue Officer, Dave O’Connor: “Our partnership with BetMGM has become a real favourite amongst our supporters over the last three seasons, consistently delivering memorable, fan-first experiences and generating viral moments that have driven our marketing ambitions. Renewing our partnership is testament to the strong trust and shared success we’ve built together. It reinforces our relentless ambition to build a powerful, global commercial portfolio, partnering with best-in-class brands across diverse sectors.”
That announcement followed up with more detail via the media on that deal and another that is set to be announced by the club before the week is out.
The Mail say that David Hopkinson is the one who has negotiated both of these new commercial contracts.
They say that their information is that the Newcastle United CEO has also agreed ‘a new multi-million-pound partnership with Coca-Cola’ that is set to be officially announced in the coming days.
The Mail say this deal will see Coca-Cola will now replace Sela as the sponsor of the STACK fanzone opposite St James’ Park. The report adds that following these two new deals, more partnership announcements are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
