A new report from Sky Sports has ranked the summer 2026 transfer window for each of the 20 Premier League clubs.

Hundreds of millions more than summer 2025, as the 20 Premier League clubs of the 2026/27 season have just spent a joint total of around £3.49billion.
It is not just about how much you spend of course, quality matters.
Also, just as important in many cases, when it comes to which players the Premier League clubs have sold, when compared to their incoming business.
Sky Sports asked each of their reporters who regularly covers each of the 20 Premier League clubs to rate their summer 2026 transfer windows out of 10:
9 Bournemouth, Brentford, Chelsea, Ipswich
8 Newcastle United, Coventry, Arsenal, Hull, Leeds, Man City

When it comes to Newcastle United it is Keith Downie who has given the 8 out of 10 rating on United’s summer trading.
Keith Downie declaring: “The summer transformation is complete at Newcastle, with Matias Fernandez-Pardo on Deadline Day becoming their eighth signing. Of the eight, Lukas Hornicek, Amar Dedic, Nico Gonzalez and Fernandez-Pardo come into the strongest XI, but there’s still so much headroom to improve for the likes of Sean Steur, Aladji Bamba, Bazoumana Toure and Ewan Jaouen, who are all very young and raw. Newcastle have spent £262m this summer, having raked in £245m for Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes and Anthony Gordon.”
The man from Sky Sports going on to say: “Newcastle United have beefed up the squad and made it youthful. But the last two signings of Gonzalez and Fernandez-Pardo for a combined £101m feel the most important. And the most ambitious. For a window that at one stage looked as though it would be a disaster after a couple of early hijacks, Newcastle have turned the ship around. And the early displays of Anthony Elanga and Yoane Wissa (who arrived for a combined £110m last summer) makes the team feel like they have two more new signings.”
