Not exactly fake news but…

With Eddie Howe and Newcastle United, not exactly fake news but…

I am sure that we have all done it.

Read an article and think that we have misread what it was saying, so read it again, only to to find that you had understood it correctly first time.

I am referring to articles reviewing who should replace Eddie Howe.

I may be a little confused but thought that to find someone to fill a vacancy, a prerequisite would be for a vacancy to exist.

Which with regard to the position of Newcastle United manager, that job is not only taken, but taken by a very capable manager.

For the first time since Eddie Howe arrived at St James’ Park, we have some real bumps in the road.

However, anyone who expected each season to automatically improve on the last, is simply dreaming.

Newcastle United may have the richest owners but the rules that now govern football in the Premier League and in UEFA competitions make that fact largely redundant.

While we have little more than a handful of games left to get as much from this season as possible (not forgetting that our league position would have been regarded as successful five years ago), the club’s name is United and that is what we need to be from the Newcastle United owners downward.

Regardless of how this season ends, I am confident that lessons will have been learned and Newcastle United will be stronger next season because of it.

I remember some guy called Ferguson had similar struggles at Man U and from what I remember he didn’t do too badly in the end.
