Eddie Howe has now left Newcastle United.
Widespread media reports on Thursday morning stating that the United boss has resigned.
It has also been detailed that this comes at the end of a process lasting weeks, as Eddie Howe made the final decision.
Now it has been quickly followed by news of a replacement.
Claims that Eddie Howe has held the fort until the new man was ready to come in.
Talksport reporting: ‘The Magpies have already agreed to appoint Matthias Jaissle, who currently manages Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli, as his replacement. It is understood that Howe informed the club he wanted to leave his role several weeks ago. But he stayed on until the replacement was found, with Jaissle set to come straight in to take his place in the dugout.’
Talksport going on to say: ‘Jaissle, who won back-to-back Asian Champions League titles with Al Ahli, has a release clause in his contract.’
Sky Sports also say that the appointment of Matthias Jaissle is understood to be imminent. They add that Kieran McKenna and Antonio Conte had also been on Newcastle’s shortlist.
