Due to Sandro Tonali supposedly no longer being happy at Newcastle United
So how good was it to see him answer all the speculation in the best way he could…ON THE PITCH.
As Sandro Tonali embraced Eddie Howe after the game, it told us all we needed to know.
About Sandro’s commitment to the team, the manager and the club.
This despite having heard little else than how Eddie Howe was allegedly no longer able to take the team any further. how they could not win away. Wrong on both counts.
The next week and a half could see a play-off win over two legs that will take Newcastle United to the Champions League last sixteen.
On Monday, United will find out who they play in the last sixteen of the FA Cup (having previously managed to get through to the Carabao Cup semi-finals for a third time in four seasons).
Also still possible that Newcastle United can qualify for next season’s Champions League via the Premier League.
Not bad for a team that have been a complete failure this season…
Hopefully, the so-called Newcastle United fans who have taken great pleasure in running the club down, may now be able to understand the realities of football, but I doubt it.
