Ahead of Wednesday night, the full details of the Carabao Cup fourth round draw have now been made public.

Wednesday afternoon seeing the EFL reveal the details, including the ball numbers.

The official EFL release stating: ‘The Round Four draw of the Carabao Cup will take place live on Sky Sports following the conclusion of the Round Three tie between Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday 16 September. Sky Sports presenter Pien Meulensteen will host the draw, alongside former Liverpool and England midfielder Jamie Redknapp and ex-Manchester United and England defender Ashley Young.’

Tuesday night saw five more third round ties decided.

Last week it was Chelsea, Newcastle United, Bournemouth, Bradford, Sunderland and Palace who went through in their ties.

Whilst last night it became a total 11 confirmed for the Carabao Cup fourth round draw with Liverpool, Fulham, Brentford, Peterborough and Arsenal progressing.

We will find out another four of the last 16 tonight ahead of the draw, then Man City v Norwich won’t be played until tomorrow (Thursday 17 September).

The fact that the eight Premier League clubs involved in the Champions League and Europa League couldn’t play one of the other seven has helped ensure there will be very few teams from the lower leagues in the fourth round.

So far there are nine Premier League clubs that have qualified and Peterborough and Bradford, both from League One.

Of the remaining five third round ties only Fleetwood v Sheffield United guarantees at least three lower league clubs progressing. To prevent there being 13 Premier League clubs in the last 16, either Wolves will have to win at Everton tonight or Norwich win at Man City on Thursday.
