Kieran Trippier gave his St James’ Park final farewell last weekend.
The England international showing all the qualities we have come to take for granted, as he helped Newcastle to a 3-1 victory over West Ham.
Now all eyes on Craven Cottage and Kieran Trippier expected to make his very final appearance for United on Sunday, whether as a starter or off the bench.
On the pitch we have all seen how good he has been these past four and a half years.
What about away from matchdays though?
Numerous people have been lining up to pay tribute to Kieran Trippier.
The latest is Newcastle United defender Harrison Ashby who has spent the second half of the season at Bradford City.
Kieran Trippier arrived at St James’ Park in January 2022, Ashby arrived 12 months later as a young player from West Ham in budget level deal as a young hopeful.
Harrison Ashby has been telling the Yorkshire Post just how influential Kieran Trippier is behind the scenes.
Ashby revealing: “Tripps is more like a second dad. I think as soon as I came in, he was kind of the one to put me under his wing. I think how I’ve learned a lot of my game really now is probably learning from Tripps. So, yes, that’s kind of what he is to me.”
Continuing his rave reviews of Kieran Trippier behind the scenes, Harrison Ashby adding: “You train with someone like Tripps every day and every day he’s the best trainer. So you kind of look at that and think: ‘well, where do I want to be when I’m 34, 35?’ And that’s kind of what I want to be. I think the biggest thing for me is just watching him every day.”
Kieran Trippier will be a huge loss on and off the pitch for Newcastle United next season but all good things come to an end. Best of luck to him wherever he ends up playing next season.
