Sky Sports have given an interesting update on the Anthony Gordon contract situation at Newcastle United.
This follows yet more invented nonsense from the media regarding Eddie Howe set to lose all his best players…
Amongst the nonsense, various media claiming that with only two years remaining on his contract, Newcastle United supposedly vulnerable when it comes to Anthony Gordon.
However, Sky Sports claiming an exclusive.
Keith Downie covers United for Sky Sports and he says that Anthony Gordon is contracted until the end of June 2030, not 2028.
So the former Everton player has more than four years left on his existing NUFC deal and not two, meaning zero contract pressure for Newcastle United when it comes to Gordon.
Downie reporting that Anthony Gordon signed a long-term extension at Newcastle in October 2024 and has four years still remaining on that deal.
The contracts situation is overall very healthy for Newcastle United, with hopefully a new extended Tino Livramento contract to come shortly.
This is how Newcastle United contracts currently look (via official club releases and media reports), when current deals are up:
End of June 2026:
Schar, Targett, Ashby, Trippier, Krafth, Ramsdale
End of June 2027:
Pope, Burn, Jacob Murphy, Willock
End of June 2028:
Barnes, Livramento, Bruno, Miley, Joelinton, Alex Murphy
End of June 2029:
Hall, Vlachodios, Wissa, Thiaw, Tonali (effectively end of June 2030 as the club can trigger an extra year)
End of June 2030:
Elanga, Botman, Ramsey, Gordon
End of June 2031:
Woltemade
