The question we are asking today: How would you rate the summer 2026 Newcastle United transfer window?
How was it for you?
For Premier League clubs looking to bring players in, 11pm yesterday (Tuesday 1 September 2026) was when the window closed.
In terms of players heading out, there is the possibility that the odd low squad profile NUFC sale or loan could still happen as a number of other leagues are yet to see their windows close, they can still bring signings in.
However, the main business is now done and we can take a step back and evaluate.
A total of 26 transfers in this summer 2026 Newcastle United transfer window, with eight coming in and 18 going out.

So based on these loose figures which include the reported potential future add-ons, it comes out as a £35m (£34.7m to be exact) net spend by Newcastle United this summer.
What also needs to be factored in to the summer transfer trading is the impact on the wage bill. The eight signings will be earning good money but I think when you total up the wages paid to this group of 24-year-old and under new faces, it will be far less than the total wages saved.
