Anthony Gordon has missed the last two Newcastle United matches.

The NUFC and England winger unavailable for the Bournemouth and Arsenal games due to a hip issue.

Now on Wednesday morning there has been an update on the player’s injury status.

The Mail report in an exclusive, that Anthony Gordon has now been passed fit for training and set to join in with training today (Wednesday) with the rest of the Newcastle United squad.

This comes ahead of the fourth last game of the season, with Anthony Gordon understood to be set to be available against Brighton on Saturday.

A huge boost for Eddie Howe as Joelinton will also now be available after suspension, with Bruno Guimaraes having made his first start after injury last weekend at Arsenal.

Craig Hope at The Mail also cutting through the daft conspiracy nonsense that some Newcastle United fans want to believe about Anthony Gordon and/or others supposedly pretending to have injuries. The man from The Mail stating in response to that nonsense: ‘Multiple sources confirmed to us that a scan two weeks ago showed an issue.’

Summer transfer speculation continues to surround Anthony Gordon, with new claims in the German media that the player’s agent flew to Munich last week for talks with Bayern.
