The Champions League quarter-finalists now almost complete.
Within hours, Barcelona v Newcastle United will produce a last eight contestant, then the final three decided.
Last night we saw four quarter-finalists sorted.
Norwegian minnows Bodo/Glimt weathered the early onslaught and even when conceding to Sporting Lisbon on 34 minutes, they then reached the hour mark still 3-1 ahead on aggregate. However, two further home team goals took it to extra-time and in the end, Sporting 5-0 winners on the night and going through 5-3 on aggregate.
Manchester City briefly threatened to make a go of it but within 22 minutes Real Madrid had effectively sealed their progress. Bernardo Silva red carded for deliberate handball and Vinicius Junior scoring the spot-kick. Haaland bundled a close range effort in but Vinicius Junior scored again in the second half to hand Man City a 5-1 aggregate thrashing.
Even more hilarious was seeing Chelsea hammered 8-2 on aggregate, a clueless Liam Rosenior seeing his tactics and team selection easily taken apart. Chelsea 2-0 down only 14 minutes in and 7-2 on aggregate, it could have been a fair few more but PSG adding just one in the second half as they cruised to an 8-2 aggregate humiliation of the West London club.
The only disappointment of the night was Arsenal managing to grind out a 2-0 home win over Bayer Leverkusen, a 3-1 Gunners aggregate success.
