Great to see Newcastle United summer signing Ousmane Diabaté thriving for club and country.
Signed at the age of 18, the midfielder the very final signing to be confirmed as nine players bought in.
Even though only 18, Ousmane Diabaté was already a full international for Guinea and also first choice for Gençlerbirliği, playing as a defensive midfielder.
The teenager loaned back to the Turkish Super Lig club for the rest of this season to get first team football.
Getting regular football as a starter at club level, today Ousmane Diabaté started for Guinea in an important AFCON group qualifier. The teenager having played the second half in their 2-1 defeat on Saturday against South Africa.
Today though he was a starter for Guinea and played the full match, one of only two players in the half dozen who started in midfield and attack to do so.
A lot of responsibility on his young shoulders, Ousmane Diabaté having turned 19 a week earlier.
The United teenager impressing in midfield and helping his team overcome Kenya, Guirassy getting the only goal of the game in the 32nd minute.
Ousmane Diabaté didn’t attract many headlines when signing for Newcastle United but he has huge potential and great to see him getting so much first team football as he looks to progress his game and eventually challenge for first team football at NUFC.

Lewis Hall outstanding in this victory against a Czech side that were a man down after 25 minutes.
