This afternoon we have that rarest thing of all, a Newcastle United match not selected for broadcast by Sky Sports or TNT Sports and it is 3pm on a Saturday afternoon!

So that is 11 out of the first 12 Newcastle United matches scheduled by UK broadcasters.
We still await the November 2026 Premier League choices from Sky Sports and TNT Sports, that announcement is supposedly due early next week.
However, eight days ago we found out the Premier League matches that had been chosen by UK broadcasters for the festive period. A very rare moment whereby fans have been told well in advance what is scheduled.
For Newcastle United you could all but guarantee how it would turn out when it came to festive Premier League matches:
