The official Premier League website has put out two separate announcements.
These announcements covering all of the 20 Premier League clubs who featured in the top tier in the 2025/26 season, the list of those players who are released, as well as the list of those retained.
Details of the Newcastle United players are included in these announcements.
A total of eight NUFC players listed as released, another twelve listed as leaving on free transfers.
Whilst on the retained side of things, Newcastle United now have 50 contracted players, as well as 18 scholars.

Premier League clubs from the 2025/26 season have submitted the lists of players they will be releasing from their squads.
Please note, players who will be signified as a “free transfer” or “released” will have their contracts expire on 30 June 2026 but could still remain at that club if a new contract is entered into, so this list should not be seen as definitive for players leaving their club.
Please also note a player’s status may have changed since the lists were submitted.
Within the retain process, any contracted player whose contract expires on 30 June leaves on a “free transfer” if the club did not offer them a contract. For scholars, such players are “released”.
