‘What a fantastic win!
A great attacking performance in the first half and a courageous defensive one in the second, for a well deserved 3 points.
If Wissa had scored the pen and we’d gone in 3-0 up it would have been a totally different game but in some ways it makes the victory all the more impressive.
Thanks lads for the way you all turned up after Leeds to send us into the 3 week break with a win.’
Matt Busby said to Joe Harvey…:
‘If we wanted a reaction after Leeds, man did we get it in those first seven minutes.
The final twenty were pure torture.
Three points. Up to eighth. Thank goodness!’

Massive boost before the break.
Hopefully we get a few players back now and have choices to make instead of youngsters on the bench who most people have never heard of.
Hopefully the manager has a good look at the training pitch too, as we get far too many ankle and thigh injuries.
Nice to see little Joe returning to goal scoring form. Happy days.
Now I’m off to Rock City to see The Sisters of Mercy for the second night in a row to cap off a nice day.’

‘That game may go down in history books as a win that in the second half felt like a defeat.
We were terrible after the break. Really bad. We have just managed to cling on. Grimly.
Hull had 21 shots to our 11.
They enjoyed 85% possession in that second half.
What the hell has our manager said at half time!
The opening was electric – let us give credit for that.
The turning point was the penalty. That goes in and it was happy days. Their keeper has made a good save albeit from a weak effort from Wissa.
Sorry to be so negative!
The only metric that matters of course is that at full time we had two goals and they only had one.
We are threadbare, with a ridiculous amount of injuries so early in the season.
It looks like Pardo has had to come with a knock too. My goodness!
Still – we win and head into the international break in eighth place and on eight points.
We’d have taken that but memo to Jaissle – we need to work on game management.’

‘Tigers tamed.
May have been a bit more comfortable had Wissa converted the penalty before half time.
Typically, Hull bit back and made it nervy but it’s a good win and the boost we needed.
With the bench heavily populated by youngsters, the international break is most welcome.’

In a match that turned into a nailbiter, we were grateful for a far more solid defensive display than of late, though last-second blocks and rushed clearances were far too frequent for comfort.
Miley was assured at right-back, Botman and Thiaw resilient.
Hall played to his full potential and Fernandez-Pardo ran himself into the ground.
The biggest positive for me was Willock’s renaissance. He scored the vital first goal, to settle any residual damage from the Elland Road battering, and turned in a tireless performance.’

‘After making it to Millwall and Leeds recently, unfortunately for me my poorly paws kicked in this morning, so it was no match for me and hello Matthias Jaissle’s firestick Mags.
So as I was saying to me pal Nellie, let’s get this elephant outside the room. Wissa”s penalty. Scores it and it’s 3-0 and game over. Why oh why don’t they just hit in the top corner as no goalie is getting that. Ok, you will get the occasional miss, but why not try it instead of the crappie tippy toed run up gubbins we see nowadays.
The new lad “the devil wears prada’ or whatever he’s called, looks like he needs a good few months bedding in time.
So here’s an idea, play Harvey Barnes as an out and out centre forward.
So after 5 Premier League games we go into the international break with 8 points.
But my last rant, why do we need a 3 week international break??’
