The question we were asking fans on Thursday, was which 11 players would you pick in your Newcastle United team?
We weren’t talking about the next game.
This was more about getting to see what the consensus is amongst Newcastle United fans for a potential must win game, at some point in the future.
As to how fans now see ALL of the current first team players on the NUFC books and who would make up the best Newcastle United team.
A lot of debate at the moment about certain players, who should and shouldn’t be playing.
So we just wanted to open that up even further, imagine a scenario with everyone available.
No injuries, no fitness issues, no suspension…
We put together a list of 22 Newcastle United players for you to select from.
Maybe best way of pitching it is this.
If say Newcastle United get to the 2026 FA Cup final, what would be your Newcastle United team if everybody available?

Some very interesting outcomes.
With this Newcastle United team, fans seeing five players as pretty much universal selections – Hall, Bruno, Tino, Thiaw and Pope all getting over 90% support.
Then another five getting around three quarters or more of fans voting for them – Joelinton Tonali, Gordon, Botman, Barnes all getting over 70% support.
Then that difficult eleventh choice, Newcastle United fans divided.
Both of the most popular options getting less than half the fans selecting them, with 48% choosing Elanga and 41% Big Nick.
