Newcastle United members had been waiting to see what they would be charged for Premier League tickets at St James’ Park this new 2026/27 season.
The same as previous seasons, you first have to buy a one year/season NUFC membership, the cheapest adult price for one of these has risen to £39 from £37 last (2025/26) season, the junior price remaining at £20 for this season.
As Newcastle United members, you need to pay that, to allow you to enter ballots ahead of each home match.
The first home game of the 2026/27 Premier League season at St James’ Park is once again against Liverpool. Last season United kicked off first at Aston Villa with a goalless draw in the Premier League.
This time, the Liverpool home match is the very first one of NUFC’s season and is a 4.30pm kick-off on Sunday 23 August.
The Newcastle United members ballot for Liverpool tickets opens at noon today (Monday 27 July 2026).
Ahead of that, the club have released the ticket prices for the 2026/27 Premier League season, what members will pay.

As you can see, the matches will fall into three different sets of prices, depending on the opposition.
Liverpool is of course a Category A match.
Prices went up around 16% for the 2025/26 season compared to the 2024/25 season.
This time the prices have gone up again but not quite so severe.
If you aren’t aware, the main pricing to look for is Category 1 and Category 2 for each match. Category 3 applies to only a minimal number of tickets.
Category 2 prices are the most important as that is where most of the available match to match tickets are for each game. Category 1 is for the East Stand and those towards the front of the Milburn.
As an example of how prices have gone up for the 2026/27 season, for the 3-2 defeat to Liverpool in August 2025 an adult ticket in the Leazes/Gallowgate (Category 2) was £58, now it is £62. That is a rise of 7% compared to last season.
