Alan Shearer has cast his eye over Newcastle United and Sunderland.
United having won two matches and unlucky not to have three wins out of three when Liverpool got so lucky with that vert late equaliser.
As for the Mackems, they lost at promoted Ipswich before then carrying the luck to get a late winner when they met Fulham, a game featuring what looked two poor sides.
Ahead of Saturday’s matches, Alan Shearer making his predictions ahead of the two clubs facing their next Premier League opponents.
It is Newcastle United v Bournemouth at 12.30pm today and Alan Shearer saying to Betfair: “Under Eddie Howe, I don’t think Newcastle beat Bournemouth, we did just beat them in a cup game on penalties last season. But Bournemouth had a really good record against Newcastle under Eddie Howe. But I think with the confidence, the belief and the atmosphere at St James’s Park, that’ll change [on Saturday]. So, I’m going to go for a Newcastle home win.”
As for the Mackems, it is a 3pm kick-off today for Brentford v Sunderland.
Alan Shearer declaring: “I think Sunderland will have a tough season. I think they’ll find it really difficult playing in Europe on a Thursday night. I’ve been really impressed with Brentford and what they’ve done in their first two games. So, I’m going to say Brentford to get a home win.”
Here’s hoping Alan Shearer is on the money, get your cash on the double!
