For the overwhelming majority of Newcastle United fans, there are three managers that stand out above the rest.

Certainly in the last half century anyway.

I am talking of course about Kevin Keegan, Sir Bobby Robson and Eddie Howe.

All three building exciting Newcastle United teams and bringing relative success and glory to the club.

Eddie Howe of course delivering that long awaited trophy, which for most fans elevated him actually higher than the other two.

Now Eddie Howe has reached the same Premier League milestone as Sir Bobby Robson and Kevin Keegan.

Their two Newcastle United Premier League managerial records read:

Kevin Keegan: Played 162 Won 83 Drawn 36 Lost 43 (Win percentage 44.1% average points per game 1.76)

Sir Bobby Robson: Played 188 Won 83 Drawn 51 Lost 54 (Win percentage 51.2% average points per game 1.60)

For Eddie Howe with Newcastle United in the Premier League it is currently (after Brighton at home):

Eddie Howe: Played 176 Won 83 Drawn 37 Lost 56 (Win percentage 47.2% average points per game 1.63)

As you can see, Eddie Howe now level on 83 NUFC Premier League wins with Sir Bobby Robson and Kevin Keegan.

KK managed it in 26 less Premier League games than SBR, Keegan 14 matches less than Eddie Howe.

At Forest on Sunday, Eddie Howe with the opportunity to edge ahead of the other two NUFC legends.
