The clock is ticking as the Newcastle United players are back at the training ground today to begin pre-season preparations.
Only six days until the first (behind closed doors) friendly and just the 12 days before Newcastle United fans will get to see the players in the opening public friendly.
It is also now less than six weeks until the Newcastle United players kick off the 2026/27 Premier League season against Liverpool at St James’ Park.
This is the point where it all suddenly feels a lot more real, where you can’t help but focus on what is to come.
Now into the final days of this 2026 World Cup and then proper football, proper anticipation and stress, will be all we have to think about as Newcastle United prepare for what feels like a huge season ahead.
