The confirmed Newcastle United team v Nottingham Forest has now been announced.
Eddie Howe’s side hoping to make it consecutive Premier League victories.
A huge and much needed 3-1 win last weekend at St James’ Park against Brighton.
Eddie Howe has won all four previous visits to the City Ground with Newcastle United, plus the NUFC boss has had the benefit of eight days between matches.
For Nottingham Forest, the last five Premier League matches have seen them score 16 goals and pick up 13 points.
However, Vitor Pereira seeing his side thrashed 4-0 by Aston Villa on Thursday to exit the Europa League, plus a growing injury list. Forest also having had to play twice in the last six days.
If Everton lose at Palace in their 2pm kick-off, Newcastle would go back into the top half of the Premier League table with a win today. It would also take United to only three points off eighth spot, a spot that could potentially equal European football quaification.
Newcastle United team v Nottingham Forest:
Pope, Thiaw, Botman, Burn, Hall, Bruno, Tonali, Joelinton, Jacob Murphy, Woltemade, Osula
Just two changes to the Newcastle United team that started against Brighton.
IN
Hall, Woltemade
OUT
Miley, Willock
I am guessing Murphy and Hall as wing-backs with Thiaw, Botman and Burn as three at the back. Then Woltemade behind Osula up top.
Subs:
Ramsdale, Trippier, Wissa, Gordon, Barnes, Elanga, Ramsey, Willock, Alex Murphy
