Surely Marcus Rashford would be a great two-year signing for Newcastle United.
He is a good player who knows where the net is, unlike our current misfits Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa.
Yoane Wissa never recovered from the injury he sustained on international duty immediately after signing for Newcastle United in September 2025.
Nick Woltemade cannot head the ball, he has no aggression, plus the acceleration of Mickey Quinn on a good day. Good touches granted…but clearly not good enough.
Anthony Elanga? Sadly he performs like a headless chicken.
We also have a raft of injury prone Newcastle United players who should be moved on. No point having good players if they average 14 games a season. Sven Botman, Tino Livramento and Joelinton clearly in this camp.
While I’m on, JoeWillock and Jacob Murphy not up to the task either.
Due to financial limitations and no Champions League, Eddie Howe has his work cut out.
Overly focussing on goalkeepers is not the solution in my opinion. It helps, but just the one signing neededd, not two, spend the money elsewhere.
Newcastle United will be buying young hopefuls going forward. Given the utter lack of youth development at the club (bar one, maybe two players), doesn’t the Newcastle United academy need a root and branch clear out?
All very amateurish, kneejerk management.
We live in hope.
