Double Newcastle United training setback ahead of Arsenal

A double Newcastle United training ground setback has been revealed.

This comes ahead of the trip to Arsenal on Saturday.

Now revealed that two Newcastle United stars have been forced to miss training.

The ‘Exclusive’ comes from Craig Hope at The Mail.

He has now reported that both Anthony Gordon and Tino Livramento were unable to train on Tuesday as the Newcastle United squad started their preparations to face the Gunners.

The full-back was forced off due to injury on Saturday against Bournemouth, whilst the former Everton winger with what the club described as a minor hip issue.

The man from The Mail says that Anthony Gordon first reported the hip problem last Wednesday, with a scan then confirming there was an issue. The injury causing Gordon to miss Bournemouth and now potentially the Arsenal game as well, although he is expected to play for Newcastle United again this season.

There are five games remaining for United, with the final one in 32 days time on Sunday 24 May, away at Fulham.

Craig Hope reporting that his information is that Tino Livramento now faces a battle to play again for Newcastle United this season.

The report detailing that Newcastle United should have a better idea after a second scan on the thigh injury Livramento picked up on Saturday. It is not thought to be a long-term issue but at best, Tino might make the last couple of Newcastle matches next month.
