Tottenham Hotspur have now sacked head coach Thomas Frank.
This follows only hours after a 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United.
David Ornstein of The Athletic with the exclusive on Wednesday morning.
Thomas Frank and Tottenham were very lucky to lose only 2-1 as Newcastle United were dominant and should have won by three or four goals at least.
David Ornstein reporting: ‘Tottenham Hotspur have sacked head coach Thomas Frank. Spurs are working through a few contingency plans as they look to replace Frank, who leaves the club 14th in the Premier League. Tottenham have won none of their last eight league games and just two from their last 17. They are five points above the relegation zone.’
Tottenham finished fourth bottom of the Premier League last season before Ange Postecoglou was sacked.
Now Thomas Frank sacked only months into the job with Tottenham sitting fifth bottom.
David Ornstein adding: ‘Frank’s last league match in charge was Tuesday’s 2-1 home defeat by Newcastle United. Under the Dane, Spurs finished fourth in the Champions League league phase, as they advanced to the last-16 stage. Frank joined Tottenham in June, signing a three-year contract to replace the sacked Ange Postecoglou.’
The sacking coincides with the release of the latest accounts of Brentford.
This shows the Bees pocketed £6.7m in compensation from Tottenham when they took Thomas Frank.
