It has now been reported that three Newcastle United players are now set to sign new deals.
News broke earlier this week that Lewis Hall had reached agreement on a new contract.
His current deal takes him up to 30 June 2029.
Now The Mail have made public what some of the details are of the Lewis Hall new deal, with an official announcement imminent.
The Mail state that the new deal is a five-year contract and will take the lifelong Newcastle United fan up to 30 June 2031.
They report that Lewis Hall will be, not surprisingly, getting a significant pay deal and there is no release clause included in the new contract. Very different to what some other ‘journalists’ have claimed.
Lewis Hall has been back to something like his brilliant best this season and is a future Newcastle United captain in the making, in my opinion.
The England international agreeing this new contract follows on from Lewis Miley and Harvey Barnes having done the same recently.
The Mail add though that Lewis Hall is not the only one who is set to sign a new deal.
Newcastle United turned down a £17m bid for Joe Willock from Besiktas at the end of the transfer window, as Matthias Jaissle saw far more value in keeping him at the club. A decision that is looking very positive so far as Joe Willock has started in great form under the new manager and scored two goals, including the winner at Millwall to take United into the last 16 of the Carabao Cup.
Now The Mail say that Joe Willock is set to be awarded a new deal, with 12 months added to his current deal that will take him up to 30 June 2028.
The same story as well with Jacob Murphy, Matthias Jaissle insisting he wasn’t sold to Nottingham Forest for £15m in the final knockings of the summer 2026 transfer window. This new report saying that Murphy, another lifelong United fan, will also be given a 12 month extension to extend his deal from 30 June 2027 to 30 June 2028.
This is where we are now in terms of Newcastle United contracts, ahead of the announcement of the new deals.

In May 2025 Dan Burn extended his Newcastle United deal by 12 months to 30 June 2027. It would be a major surprise if the England defender didn’t also have his deal extended by a further year to end of June 2028.
