An official announcement from the club on Friday confirming the arrival of three young Newcastle United signings.
All of the trio arriving from rival English clubs.
The three teenagers having been at Arsenal, West Ham and Leicester City respectively.
The signing of these young players had been claimed via various media reports.
However, now United making it official.
The club statement on Friday beginning: ‘Newcastle United can announce that promising youngsters Kyran Thompson, Christian Boothe and Kyle Healy-Matthews have joined the club’s Academy.’
The official Newcastle United release going on to detail: ‘Thompson joins the club from Arsenal, with Boothe and Healy-Matthews arriving from Leicester City and West Ham United respectively. The trio, all aged 16, will join Chris Moore’s Under-18 squad as first-year scholars. Thompson, who is capped at Under-17 level for England, joined Arsenal from West Ham United ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, making his debut at Under-18 level later that season aged 15. He made his Premier League 2 debut for Arsenal’s Under-21 side last season and featured three times in Arsenal Under-19’s UEFA Youth League campaign, scoring in a 4-2 victory against Bayern Munich. Boothe joins the Magpies after rising through the ranks at Leicester City, where he made his debut for the Foxes Under-18 side as a 15-year-old. He went on to make his debut at Under-21 level against senior opposition in the National League Cup in August 2025 before making his Premier League 2 later that year. Healy-Matthews, meanwhile, made six appearances for West Ham in the Under-18 Premier League last season as well as playing a key role in the Hammers Under-17 Premier League Cup winning side.’
