The 2026 World Cup kicked off with seven Newcastle United players involved.
Tino Livramento the first to exit, before England had even kicked off their finals.
This last week has seen four more Newcastle United players exit the 2026 World Cup.
On Monday (29 June) Germany pair Nick Woltemade and Malick Thiaw were knocked out after coming on as subs against Paraguay.
The following day it was Anthony Elanga as Sweden were hammered by France.
Then on Wednesday it was Yoane Wissa and DR Congo leaving the competition after giving England a huge scare.
Now on Sunday it is Bruno Guimaraes looking to help inspire Brazil to go past Norway, that match a 9pm kick-off (UK time) tonight.
Then at altitude, the Azteca Stadium hosting Dan Burn and the England squad at 1am (UK time) on Monday morning as they aim to beat co-hosts Mexico and reach the last eight.
As you can see from the schedule at the bottom, if they both get through it will be Brazil v England in the quarter-finals. That quarter-final to be played in Miami with a 10pm kick-off (UK time) on Saturday 11 July.

Round of 32 knockout matches:
Monday 29 June
Paraguay 1 Germany 1 (Nick Woltemade and Malick Thiaw come off the bench but Germany lose on penalties after extra time, Big Nick one of three Germany players who fail to score in the shoot out)
Brazil 2 Japan 1 (Bruno Guimaraes putting in another excellent performance and a superb pass releases Martinelli to score the winner five minutes into added time)
Tuesday 30 June
France 3 Sweden 0 (Anthony Elanga was Sweden’s best outfield player but Sweden blown away by France)
Wednesday 1 July
England 2 DR Congo 1 (Dan Burn an unused sub, Yoane Wissa puts in a very decent performance as do his teammates but a huge moment when the United striker hits the post instead of scoring scoring just before half-time, at 2-0 down it would have been difficult to see England coming back from that)

Brazil (Bruno Guimaraes) v Norway 9pm
Monday 6 July
Mexico v England (Dan Burn) 1am
