Newcastle United have now turned down derisory transfer bid for Sandro Tonali

Newcastle United has knocked back a derisory offer for Sandro Tonali.

A lot of speculation about the United midfielder at the moment.

Whether he does end up leaving St James’ Park or not, it won’t be for this paltry transfer bid.

Tottenham reported to have offered only £80m for the Italy international.

Saturday night seeing the likes of Sky Sports, The Telegraph and The i Paper all reporting that this Spurs bid has been dismissed out of hand.

The universal message across the various media is that Newcastle United would want a minimum of £100m. If indeed they are willing to sell at all.

As previously reported, Arsenal and Manchester City maintain an interest in Sandro Tonali.

However, the Newcastle United owners sending out the message that if the NUFC midfielder does end up leaving, it won’t be on the cheap.

The summer 2026 transfer window only opened on Monday (15 June 2026), so there is plenty of time to go before we will know how this summer 2026 transfer window will turn out for Newcastle United.
