Harry Redknapp has been talking about Newcastle United.
The former Spurs and West Ham manager, discussing NUFC as we now approach the final weekend of this 2025/26 season.
A gruelling season for Newcastle United and the club’s fans in many ways, with the final match of a 58 game season now to play.
Harry Redknapp declaring: “Newcastle are ending the season on decent form….I think Newcastle will narrowly win this.”
Harry predicting a 2-1 United win on Sunday over Fulham which would mean ten points from their final four matches and a likely top half finish, possibly as high as ninth.
However, the former Premier League manager is more interested in what happens after the season ends.
Harry Redknapp saying about Newcastle United post-season: “It is going to be a very busy summer ahead with a lot of ins and outs. One to watch – It looks like Anthony Gordon won’t be a Newcastle player next season. I’m a big fan of the lad so I can see why some big clubs are looking at him.”
It looks a certainty that Anthony Gordon will leave, with Bayern Munich appearing to be the most likely destination. Eddie Howe giving the winger no time on the pitch in recent matches as he prepares for next season with team selections affected by which players set to be staying at St James’ Park.
The Premier League transfer window officially opens on Monday 15 June but transfers can be agreed in advance and signed off, then officially processed once the window opens.
With the World Cup set to kick off on Thursday 11 June and last almost six weeks, we appear set to have some serious transfer activity these next couple of weeks, both at Newcastle United and across the Premier League generally.
Whilst Eddie Howe looks set to lead Newcastle United into the 2026/27 season, a number of other Premier League managers set to depart.
Harry Redknapp saying about the Fulham boss: “The future of Marco Silva is still up in the air; there’s rumours he might be off to Benfica. Whatever happens, he’s done a fantastic job at Fulham and firmly established them back in the Premier League.”
