Ahead of facing Newcastle United there has been an official Coventry City injury update.
The Sky Blues return to Premier League action on Monday night.
It is over 26 years since Coventry City fans last saw their team play at home against Newcastle United in the top tier.
Matthias Jaissle gave his pre-match press conference on Thursday afternoon and said that he hopes to have at least three or four of his nine players back who missed the win over Hull City due to injury.
The United boss confirming that Nico Gonzalez and Joelinton are set to be two of those returning but Ewen Jaouen once again ruled out through injury. Jaissle keeping his cards close to his chest though on which of the other six (Dedic, Burn, Elanga, Osula, ramsey, Livramento) might also return.
Frank Lampard has delivered this official Coventry City injury update, at his press conference today.
The Coventry boss has confirmed Milan van Ewijk and Kaine Kesler-Hayden are back training following their recent injury lay-offs. Lampard has also provided an update on Josh Eccles, Haji Wright, Luke Woolfenden and Aurèle Amenda.
Frank Lampard at his pre-Newcastle United press conference: “Milan is back training, that’s good news. We hope he’ll be right if he comes through the next few days. Kaine is back training with us, which is good – he’s been out for longer. Josh isn’t back yet, he had a baby recently which is good news for him but he’ll still be a few more weeks potentially. Haji and Woolfy will be a bit longer but they’re working hard and they’re getting there. Aurèle is working away, it’s up to a three-month injury so we’re working through that. Haji won’t be back until November at best and I don’t want to put pressure on it because it’s an awkward injury.”
