Eddie Howe has been reacting after Newcastle United completed the signing of Aladji Bamba.
An official club announcement on Friday revealing the news.
The 20-year-old midfielder signed from Monaco.
Aladji Bamba is the fourth Newcastle United signing of summer 2026 following the capture of two other 20-year-olds. Goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen from Stade de Reims and winger Bazoumana Toure arriving from Hoffenheim, plus 18-year-old Sean Steur from Ajax.
The club reporting it as the usual ‘undisclosed fee’ but Sky Sports had reported in advance that it is a £35.5m deal, with £30m initial transfer fee and a possible £5.5m more in future add-ons.
