Looking at these Premier League fixtures on Sunday, in this latest round of matches.
Seeing the other games from a Newcastle United perspective.
This sixth round of Premier League fixtures as the international break ends at last.
Three matches today.
Then finally Coventry City v Newcastle United on Monday night.
As a Newcastle United fan, have a look at these Premier League fixtures on Saturday and have a think about what you’d like to happen and what is most likely in terms of results.
Ahead of that though, these are the six Premier League results from yesterday.
Arsenal 2 Leeds 1
Villa 2 Brentford 2
Chelsea 5 Bournemouth 1
Ipswich 2 Hull 1
Sunderland 0 Brighton 2
Man U 1 Spurs 1
My conclusions and predictions on Sunday’s matches
Palace v Forest (2pm)
This of course sees Oliver Glasner making a swift return to his old club.
Palace and Forest have only won two of ten Premier League matches between them this season and I don’t think this will change today. I predict a stalemate and probably not the greatest of spectacles to watch.
Hull v Everton (2pm)
If either of these teams win today they will go into the top four, a huge carrot dangling.
Only nine goals have been scored in the five Everton EPL matches this season, six by the blues and three for the opposition. No Premier League club has seen less goals in their matches. Only ten goals in the five Hull matches, six scored and four conceded.
I would love to see the Tigers tear apart the scouse mackems but this has the look of a 0-0 or 1-1 draw to me.
Liverpool v Manchester City (4.30pm)
Absolutely brilliant timing for this match to fall now. The scousers so self-righteous about Manchester City spending more than their revenues and currently Man City appealing against the 114 guilty verdicts. It is hilarious though that self-righteouness when you consider how Liverpool got their success only because the Moores family poured in an outrageous amount of money back in the day from their pools empire.
As for the actual football…
Liverpool have looked poor to average this season, whilst Manchester City have been the best quality team.
The Rat is injured yet again and Gakpo also now out, with Ekitike long-term injured Liverpool really struggling for strikers.
Manchester City had an injury scare with Erling Haaland but it sounds like he is fine for this match.
Liverpool fans will no doubt be acting up outside Anfield trying to intimidate the Manchester City players as they arrive. However, I think it will be the Man City team intimidating the home side on the pitch and comfortably winning this.
