Newcastle United Women’s team boss, Tanya Oxtoby, has won the Barclays Women’s Super League 2 Manager of the Month award for September.

Oxtoby’s side getting their promotion campaign off to a perfect start.

The Newcastle United Women’s team winning all of their league matches in the opening month of the season.

Only the champions of the second tier are guaranteed promotion to the Super League.

The Newcastle United Women’s team started the season with a 2-0 home win against Wolves Women, then beating Bristol City 1-0 at Ashton Gate.

Tanya Oxtoby then guiding her team to two more home wins, 4-1 against Sheffield United and 4-0 when Leicester City visited.

So a perfect 12 points from four league matches in September with 11 goals scored and only one conceded.

The Newcastle United Women’s team had made a perfect start to the season with four league wins, scoring 11 goals and conceding only one as they look to win the title and get promotion to the Super League.

That form has continued into October and at the weekend it became a perfect five league wins to start the season, this time 3-0 away at Durham.

That leaves the second tier table looking like this:
